Treat Distinguished Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and previously was a professor of history at Yale. His most recent book is National Treasure: How the Declaration of Independence Made America (Avid Reader Press/Simon & Schuster)\, which he completed as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the Library of Congress’s John W. Kluge Center.About Patrick SperoDr. Patrick Spero is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Philosophical Society and an award-winning historian who has published four books on the era of the American Revolution.
